The recently established pop-up harbour park includes skate ramps, hammocks and cosy areas to hang-out.
On the harbour’s floating island of culture, ”Bølgen” (The Wave), you can experience dance performances, theatre and live music, and play “guess the fish” among other things. During summer months, local associations provide the entertainment. Find out more about the events on offer in the harbour calendar here.
A visit to the red and yellow warehouse now housing Maritime Centre is a must. Located next to where the ferry to Ærø departs, the Centre presents exhibitions and events. Don’t forget to pay a visit to the maritime shop as well.
Both the harbour-front and the city itself offer plenty of places to eat. Check out the list at Tripadvisor.
Shopping within walking distance
The Svendborg city centre is only a short walk away. Several specialty shops will catch your eye on your stroll through the quaint old town with its winding pedestrian roads. If the weather isn’t the best, interesting museums and cultural experiences will entertain both young and old on a rainy day. The city has plenty of cafes and restaurants, as well as a pulsating night-life allowing you to experience the flourishing local music scene.
Svendborg Harbour is exclusively for visiting ships, so you are guaranteed a berth here. The harbour never turns anyone down, however, you might end up berthing alongside another vessel.
